ROBOTICS INVESTIGATION and DEVELOPMENT

At this point in time, the principal investigator believes that the old  Heathkit "Hero" series of Robots are still the best around.   There appears to be very little improvement in this vast time period.  Which makes one wonder why somebody does not continue to make these robotics systems based on today's technology.  This would be very powerful indeed.

The initial evaluation has shown that there really are not to many ready to go robotics systems in the market place.  Many of what is available are small type robots with micro-computer control.   We at Insomniac Productions are more interested in larger robotics system.  These present existing systems will not be presented in these web pages.  This information is very easy to find on the internet and therefore there is no reason to provide this type of information here.

The objective of this initial evaluation has been to determine basic information about robotics and the problems associated with robotics.  Therefore, all products have been purchased for evaluation and use.  Nothing has been developed at this point in time.  The objective being that information gained from these investigation can be used to develop custom hardware and software to meet the Insomniac Production objective.
